My main treatment rooms at The Plane Tree are on the first floor of the clinic with 18 medium width stairs to climb, with hand banisters either side of the stairs. All the couches at the clinic are hydraulic and adjustable, and can hold up to 200kg. The two treatment couches upstairs are 72cm and 78cm wide.
If you are a wheelchair user or have limited mobility and need to use a ground floor room, I have access to a ground floor room just by the front door which is level with the street on a Monday. The door into the clinic from the street is 82cm wide, the internal doors on the ground floor are 75cm wide and the treatment couch is 62cm wide. The bathroom is gender neutral, on the ground floor and has a support rail next to the toilet.
There isn't an intercom system for entry that I use. I will always come and greet you at the front door, and let you in at the start of your session time.

Our clinic space in Brighton isn’t wheelchair accessible. There is a small ridge/step at the front doors, which are double doors and are wide enough for a wheel chair. Inside the clinic there are two steps up into the back of the clinic where my treatment room is. The bathroom is in the first part of the clinic before the steps but isn't wheel chair accessible. I am currently looking for wheelchair-accessible spaces to work from, so please still get in touch with me if you are interested in working together as I may be able to find a suitable space to use.

I aim to communicate clearly and let you know ahead of time as much as possible when there is change. I work in a way that is person centred, and adapt my work and way of working to each person and their needs. For example, if you are someone who needs to stim regularly with your hands, I can put needles in your body away from your lower arms so you are more free to move if you want to. You are welcome to tell me if something is working well for you and you want me to keep doing it, or if you would like something to change.
My treatments rooms have ambient and adjustable light levels, and you are invited to tell me if you want me to change the lighting in the treatment room when you are there. The temperature in the treatment rooms is also easily adjusted, so let me know if you would like the treatment room to be warmer or cooler. I use essential oils and burn a herb called mugwort(moxa) during some sessions. Please let me know if you are very sensitive to smell, or particular types of smell so I can clear the air of the treatment room before you arrive.

English is my first language and I am not currently fluent, or at a conversational level in any other languages. I have previously worked with translators present in treatment sessions. Please let me know if you have an interpreter for another language or BSL you need to have with you in the session.

I hold a number of places in my practice that are aimed to be financially accessible for people that do not currently have the means to pay my regular fee. There are very low cost and lower cost spaces available. People that are refugees and asylum seekers, have the right to remain or have these life events as part of their histories and are now British citizens are encouraged to contact me. People who have been historically marginalised, for example, people who are part of the global majority, people with disabilities, those who are part of the trans, intersex, gender-nonconforming and queer community, along with people who are single parents or full-time carers, are also encouraged to be in touch to see if any low cost places are available if they need them.
I won't assume you need a low cost place and you will need to tell me if you want to access one. Please spend some time thinking about how much you can afford to pay, for at least 6 -12 sessions. Lower cost spaces need to be agreed in advance of the treatment and booking being made. If your financial situation changes while we are working together and you need a low cost place, please let me know ahead of making a booking.
BRIGHTON BASED FOLKS: it's also now possible to access free or very low cost treatments with me via the Brighter Days Project. You need someone from an organisation based in Brighton to refer you through this form

Item descriptionI work in an appreciative and affirming way with people of all gender identities and sexualities in my practice and use non-gendered language, especially around hormonal, reproductive and genitourinary health, unless otherwise directed by you. Having navigated my own healthcare as a white, able-bodied, neuro-diverse and trans masc queer person, I understand some of the frustrations, nuances, barriers and erasure many LGBTQIA+ people can face when seeking support with their health and wellbeing. I also understand there are many people who have many different experiences to my own within healthcare, especially those who are global majority, asexual or have a physical disability, and I am continually aiming to create safer and more culturally competent spaces where I can. I‘m sensitive, self-reflective, and responsive in my work, and will always take onboard any feedback you give me about how I can meet your needs more.
